Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2012 opened last night at The Film Society of Lincoln Centre with Harvey Weinstein, fresh from his Oscar glory with the French-made phenomenon The Artist, in attendance. The movie industry mogul was championing the box-office hit Intouchables, which his company plan to distribute this May.
With two dozen New York premieres (Renez Vous with French Cinema 2012 runs through March 11), we’ll definitely be checking out a couple of the titles showing.
