SXSW Films

Only days to go till SXSW and while the festival is predominantly associated with music, there’s also an impressive film festival to take in with an eclectic array of world and North American premieres, from Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum’s action-comedy 21 Jump Street to more serious fare such as Wikileaks: Secrets and Lies, which features the first major TV interview with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
Another must see is Rock ‘N’ Roll Exposed: The Photography of Bob Gruen. The fascinating documentary explores the life and work of one of the world’s most acclaimed rock ‘n’ roll photographers who has captured iconic images of everyone from The Rolling Stones and Bob Marley to Madonna. Originally a four-part TV series, this film features Bob sharing the stories behind his enduring photos. Rock star pals Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop and Alice Cooper also pay tribute, as does Yoko Ono who discusses Bob’s close friendship with John Lennon.
