This week, Frieze New York makes its debut at Randall’s Island. In all, 180 contemporary galleries from around the world will be showing their wares from May 4-7.
To celebrate Frieze, a block party will take place in Chelsea this Saturday, then on Sunday there’s a special Frieze Downtown Night. We’ll be checking out MoMA PS1′s Frieze New York Kick Off Party on Wednesday (May 2), with a performance by Martha Wainwright and a DJ set by Mark Ronson. Tickets are just $25 and on sale at MoMA PS1.
