Candice Swanepoel – Her Met Gala Beauty Look

Make-up artist Carolina Gonzalez reveals how Candice Swanepoel got her red-carpet glow for the Met Gala.

“Since the dress is so beautiful and Candice has gorgeous skin, we decided to go with transparent luminous skin, which was contoured but with a natural effect. We also used contouring on the eyes with some sparkle to capture the light, while the lips were kept natural.”

How to get the look:

1. “I used a tiny bit of Nars Sheer Foundation in Barcelona in places to create a flawless base.”

2. “We then contoured the face using a MAC eyeshadow called Quarry, brushing it along the cheekbones, hairline, jawline, down the neck, the side of the nose and in the creases of the eyes. ”

3. “I dabbed some Nars’ Lokoum Cream Blush, which is a natural, rosy pink on the apples of her cheeks and a tiny bit on her chin to bring it all together.”

4. “I applied MAC eyeshadows in pinks and grays to the eyes and then used a darker burgundy, in lieu of eyeliner to give more definition, before applying one coat of Nars Mascara.”

5. “To finish, I gently rimmed Tarte’s emphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener in the lower lash line to open the eyes.”

6. “Finally, I lightly outlined just the bow of her lip with a nude lip pencil by Victoria’s Secret before applying Bobbi Brown Sheer Lipstick in Pink Buff.”
