Wimbledon has just got underway, the Euro 2012 championship is nearing its climax and, most exciting of all, the Olympic Games are almost upon us.

Yep, it’s officially the summer of sport. Even those who do not have any interest in the athletic aspect of the Games may be tempted to tune in to catch some of the highly anticipated opening ceremony on July 27th.

Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle has been given a budget of over £27 million to play with for his Tempest-inspired, “British countryside” extravaganza.
