Super chic French fashion blogger Garance Doré recently collaborated with her other half, The Satorialist’s Scott Schuman to capture True Love in Pictures for Tiffany & Co’s What Makes Love True campaign.
Garance discusses the project, style and shares what she loves with us…
What was it like working with Scott on the Tiffany campaign?
I always love working with Scott. We’re actually always working together, but to collaborate on every level of a project was so much fun. We’re actually very romantic, so we were very pleased to work on a project dedicated to love.
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done for each other?
I think the most romantic thing we’ve done for each other is moving our lives around to make our love possible.
How would you describe your style?
It’s very simple. I’m really starting to know what I like and it always comes down to the classics, like a pair of skinny jeans and flats. I love the effortlessness they give to the silhouette. What I’ve found is that I express myself more in colors and textures, and that I love pretty simple shapes. My style has really changed since I moved to New York. It seems like I’m living a hundred lives in the same day here, so the simpler the better. I never know where I’m going to be next!
What is your most prized personal possession?
My most prized personal possession is my gold Rolex that Scott bought for me. It’s vintage and was love at first sight!
What has been your biggest fashion faux pas?
I have a lot of fashion faux pas! But what I’m terrible at is making myself heard when I’m being shot for a magazine. I’m horrible at telling people I don’t like something, which is the worst because then everyone sees the photos and they’re so not me.
Is there anyone you’d love to photograph?
So many people! I’d start with Lauren Hutton!
What do you love doing when you’re not working?
I love yoga. I’m pretty outdoorsy, so in the summer I love activities outside, like kayaking or hiking. But I’m very good at doing nothing too!
