Blondie and the Punk Era in Pictures

To commemorate their 40th anniversary, following on from its debut in New York's storied Chelsea Hotel, Somerset House has taken up the mantle to celebrate Blondie's history as pioneers of the punk music era with the exhibition, Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie, and The Advent of Punk. The photographs, taken by Blondie co-founder Chris Stein, give an intimate look into the rise and ensuing fame of the trailblazing band. From iconic images to previously unseen photos which also capture a snapshot of the punk era and band's pop culture peers, from Andy Warhol and David Bowie to The Ramones, the exhibition is a must-see for those in London.

Those not in the British capital can, however, still access the imagery as a book by the same title has been released to coincide with the anniversary. The book also features contributions from Ms. Harry and one of our favorite guys, the New York legend that is Glenn O'Brien, who appears in our SS 15 Menswear Collection portrait series. Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie, and the Advent of Punk (Rizzoli) is available now.
