New Collaborations and New Collections
from rag & bone
For Holiday 2008 and Pre-Spring 2009, rag & bone will showcase debut collections for men and children as well as collaborations that underscore rag & boots roots in classic American workwear and British tailoring. Holiday also marks the introduction of rag & bone’s namesake shoes for men and women, the line’s first solo foray into footwear.
MEN’S
rag & bone will unveil its first holiday collection in stores this October. Wainwright describes the 50-piece collection as an item-driven entrée into spring that creates a sense of continuity between seasons. Highlights of the collection include a collaboration with Brooklyn-based tailor Martin Greenfield Clothiers to produce a limited-edition, handmade suit available in three different fabrications and a partnership with centuries-old English accessories firm Dents to produce handmade leather gloves. The Holiday Collection also pioneers the return of the denim jacket, bringing rag & bone’s signature tailoring to an American workwear staple.

WOMEN’S
rag & bone returns with Holiday 2008 and Pre-Spring 2009 collections, exhibiting a strong British mod influence as well as a hint of 80’s inspiration in shape and tailoring. The collections introduce color for the first time, punctuating the typically rich neutrals of black, ivory and charcoal with strong reds. Acting as a lead-in to rag & bone’s rock and roll-influenced Spring 2009 collection, the pre-spring line plays with proportion, with both cropped jackets and elongated blazers. Several elements of the collections are consistent with the Holiday men’s aesthetic, from the reinvented denim jacket to Dents gloves for women.

CHILDREN’S
rag & bone will also launch its children's collection for Holiday 2008, bringing kids the same kind of durable, tailored pieces that characterize the men’s and women’s collections. The line will be available in sizes 18 months, 2 years, 4 years, and 6 years.
