About the Collection

This season, designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville were inspired by the Burning Man festival and 70s surf culture. Gypsies, parachutes, crochet bikinis and cholos provided the fundamental building blocks for the collection. To balance was modern architecture, specifically a Herzog and de Meuron building in Munich which served as the basis for the graphic prints,
and structural tailoring seen throughout. Key pieces include space-dyed crochet, hooded ponchos, tailored boxy jackets, mesh tops, cholo pants, mullet-hem skirts and silky, louche pants. Wainwright summarizes: "Spring 12 for us references 70s surfing, gypsies, parachutes, cholos, and a Herzog and de Meuron building in Munich. Enough said."
